The CEWR is a coalition of ratepayers formed specifically for the purpose of fighting the recently proposed massive rate increase by Canyon Lake Water Service Company (CLWSC). The proposed water rate increase requested by CLWSC consists of a 71% rate hike comprised of two scheduled implementation dates. The first part of the increase (38%) went into effect on October 27th. The second half of the increase (33%) was scheduled to go into effect on March 15th. These increases would amount to $550 in the first year alone, and a whopping $2750 extra after 5-years!
